Situation & Directions
Vogelvlei Yacht Club is situated on Voël Dam, north of Wellington in the W. Cape.
From Cape Town, take the N1 towards Paarl.
Take exit 47 at the Klapmuts interchange. Turn left onto the R44 and drive for 22.8km
Upon entering Wellington, turn left onto the R44/Stokery Road. Continue on the R44 for 31km
Turn right at the City of Cape Town Voëlvlei Waterworks sign.
After 1.3km, turn left at the entrance to VYC.

Description
The main water sport is sailing, with catamarans and dinghies of various classes being sailed, as well as a few keelboats.
No motorised water sports are allowed. VYC is not open to the public. The gate to the access road remains locked unless the club is hosting a regatta.
